Austen Maritime Services celebrates 40th anniversary
July 31, 2026
Austen Maritime Services has marked 40 years since its foundation in 1986 with an anniversary celebration at its new offices in Singapore.
Clients, business partners and colleagues joined the event to recognise four decades of growth, resilience and service.
While most of Austen’s operations are based in Singapore, the company also operates in China and South Korea, reflecting the regional reach it has developed during its history.
Hugh Rapson, Marine Services Director at Northern Marine Group, attended the celebration on behalf of the Group’s head office, joining guests as they enjoyed an anniversary cake and buffet as well as reflecting on Austen’s journey and the relationships that have supported the business.
The event also recognised Austen’s long-serving employees, including colleagues who have been with the company for more than 10 years. Their experience, dedication and contribution have played an important part in the company’s development.
Christopher Cher, Global Head of Austen Maritime Services, thanked clients, business partners and employees for helping Austen reach the milestone.
“Forty years of growth, resilience and success would not have been possible without the many people who have been part of our journey,” he said.
“Our clients have given us the foundation for everything we are doing. We are very grateful for the opportunity to serve them, work alongside them and grow as they grow.
“Most importantly, Austen’s success is built on the dedication, hard work and passion of our employees. The achievement we are celebrating is a reflection of their efforts.”
As Austen celebrates its 40-year history, the move to its new Singapore office marks another important moment for the business.
The occasion brought together many of the people and partners who have contributed to its story since 1986 and who continue to support its operations across the region today.
